Padma Shri Dr. M. Mohan Babu, a well known Cine-Actor established SVET in 1993 to serve the cause of education in the backward region of Rayalaseema. He made his intensions public and vowed to provide quality education to students and support deserving students with financial assistance and concession irrespective of caste, creed, religion or region. He has been a source of inspiration to SVET Institutions in particular and to students in general. |

Sree Vidyanikethan Engineering College was established in 1996 with an initial intake of 180 students to serve the cause of technical education in the backward region of Rayalaseema. The intake has increased exponentially to 1686 in 2012-2013. The College now offers 10 B.Tech programs, 8 M.Tech programs and MCA Program. AICTE has accorded permission to run 2nd Shift Polytechnic from the academic year 2009-10. |
